Waking up early in the morning, having just dreamt of paradise, we are quickly jostled back to reality by the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city. Constant banging and clanging of nearby construction, congested roads, loud motorists and smoggy skies can suck the soul of any sane person.

With Summer being around the corner, a relaxing, luxurious getaway is just what we need. Although we have a few trips lined up this year, not all of them can be considered a true getaway. So when we came across Villa Getaway, we just couldn’t ignore this amazing opportunity for an escape to paradise.

We love villas. I mean, who doesn’t? To be sipping cocktails by the pool overlooking stunning scenic views, staring at the sunset and relaxing with a soothing massage sounds like the ultimate paradise, which our hearts and minds are aching to experience.

Dreaming of Maldives and lounging on water villas

For us, Maldives has always been the epitome of paradise as we dream to lounge, sleep and wake up in one of the gorgeous over-the-water villas. Not only that, Maldives has some of the clearest crystalline blue water and soft white sand in the world. With its unparalleled landscape beauty and tranquil atmosphere, it is one of the top getaway destinations for newly married couples, couples trying to rekindle their love or even families going on vacations.

While searching through their website, we quickly came across an over-water villa that best suited us – Maldives Villa 1333.

The villa exudes peace, tranquility and luxury but at the same time it is modest with great attention to detail. It is built to be environmentally friendly in design and functionality, which is great to know. We love it whenever a resort or hotel considers eco-friendly aspects in their hospitality.

We are particularly excited about the private water garden and the sun deck. When it gets too hot, the sea is just a plunge away for us to cool off. The deck also looks like the perfect place to sip on cocktails during the day, stargaze at night and watch the sunrise or sunset in between. When indoors, we would look forward to indulging in a romantic dinner prepared by our very own private chef. Having some of that delicious local cuisine surely adds to the ultimate experience of being in Maldives, because let’s face it, food does plays a massive role in understanding a country’s culture and history. Not just that, we simply LOVE to try new cuisines wherever we go.

It’s not all relaxation

Maldives also excites our adventurous side because it is home to some of the most unique and vibrant sea life, which can be experienced through snorkeling and diving. We have always wanted to swim with turtles, manta rays and even reef sharks.

We would also spend our day doing other fun activities such as kayaking along the seashores, trekking through the tropical forests and going on cultural walking tours in the nearby towns. What an incredible way to combine two of our favorite travel styles – adventure and luxury. Talk about an ideal vacation trip. This would definitely be the ultimate getaway life that we would never want to leave from.
