There’s nothing better than a trip with you and the girls to get away from the drama of modern life and escape into beautiful scenery and fresh experiences. But the most important question: where do you go? Then there is the question of is ‘is it safe?’ If you’re an outdoorsy girl, it opens up or narrows down other possibilities.

There are so many options, but after speaking to some people (friends mostly) we’ve narrowed it down to the top three so you can choose the perfect location that’s fun, adventurous, and ideal for those Instagram selfies. We’re skipping the obvious ones of course.

New Zealand

New Zealand draws in thrill-seekers from all over the world and is infamous for its breathtakingly beautiful scenery. Your options here are endless – think about visiting the Waitomo Caves, where you can row through tunnels full of glimmering blue glow-worms for a sight you’ll struggle to find anywhere else in the world. Other activities like fishing are an easy way to make your trip memorable, as it’s the perfect way to learn some new skills and have a laugh, as well as get the opportunity to relax and chat.

For those interested in fishing, opting for a kayak is a great way to make your trip even more exciting, and trust us when we say you’ll have a blast fishing from one of these. New Zealand is also famous for its legendary giant swing that sweeps through 300m of the island’s Southern Alps and is certain to get your blood pumping.

Botswana

There’s nowhere more outdoorsy than Botswana, and it’s home to some of the most incredible wildlife and ecosystems in the world. Botswana is most popular for its safaris that give you the opportunity to see the big five – that is, the lion, the elephant, the leopard, the rhinoceros, and the buffalo, as well as countless other classic animals you only see in films, such as the giraffe and zebra.

Being able to see them up close and personal is a once in a lifetime experience, especially if you go during the baby season!

There are also more unusual activities you can take part in – visiting the Tsodilo Hills will give you the opportunity to see rock paintings from thousands of years ago. With beautiful scenery and a history like no other, Botswana is the perfect place to explore, and if you’re looking for the perfect end to a day, try taking a boat cruise in Chobe at sunset to see elephants gathering by the river – this is an unforgettable experience like no other.

Bali

Bali is the only option for those looking for absolute paradise – it’s home to tropical landscapes that stretch over the island and are sprinkled with temples and ancient buildings that give Bali its iconic look. There are plenty of activities you can get stuck into here – yoga is very popular, with tons of drop-in classes, courses, and even festivals dedicated to it. Let’s face it: there’s nothing more appealing than doing yoga under a waterfall. If you want to have a go at surfing, learn it in Batu Bolong by renting surfboards, asking for lessons and hitting the waves – this is the perfect place to start!

If stunning views are more your thing, hike up Gunung Agung, the highest peak on the island, to see stretches of these heavenly tropics from a whole new perspective (and get the perfect selfie opportunity). But if you visit anywhere in Bali, it has to be one of the countless spas in Ubud. Here, you can experience traditional Balinese massages, facial treatments, body scrubs, and plenty more to regain your calm and really take a moment to relax.

With three beautiful destinations at your disposal, what are you waiting for? Book a flight today and begin the best adventure of your life with some of the best people in your life, and you’ll change your life.
