2 years ago we went to our first beach EDM festival. It was epic, to say the least. This year, the Warp Music Festival returns with its 4th edition and it’s hopefully going to be better than ever.

After such an awesome time we had at the 2nd edition, we’ve rounded up 4 awesome reasons why you should go too (and meet us there).

1. Same same but different concept

Each year Warp has landed on a different planet of our solar system and this year it is Neptune, which is the last planet.  The event is fully titled as  Kulov Presents Warp Music Festival 2018: the Edge of Neptune so we can expect some cool, futuristic themes. The highlight video even teases some sophisticated space-like, interstellar themes. It makes sense why they would call this event the edge of Neptune since it is so far away.

Check out their video trailer.

The festival also showcases their sponsor – Kulov vodka and specifically highlights their vodka-energy drink mix. Similar to a vodka Redbull. So you can expect it to be a supercharged event. In the past, it used to be Chang. There is definitely going to be a change in mood, tone, and colors of the festival. It will be interesting to experience this change.

2. It’s going to be a 2-day event

Unlike the previous editions of Warp, this year it is going to be a 2-day event instead of just one. That means it will have twice the number of DJs and twice the fun. One hell of a crazy weekend. unless you pace yourself, which we highly recommend. We’ve been to events before that last 2-3 days and it takes it out of you.

While this isn’t anything like Coachella or Wonderfruit where you can camp out at the music festival grounds – you get to go home to your apartment or hotel – you still need to prepare yourself. Remember to wear comfortable clothing, bring sunscreen and/or raincoats in case it rains. It’s good to be ready for any kind of weather.

A 2-day event is an opportunity to have the best weekend ever. Got too drunk on day 1? That is OK, just take it easy on day two. At least you didn’t ruin your entire WARP experience.

3. The lineup

To be honest, we don’t know a single artist on this lineup, which is probably a good thing because it will definitely increase our music interest bandwidth.

warp music festival IX line up

From our initial research and listening to the artist’SoundCloudud and Youtube videos, it seems there is a lot Trap and Dubstep, which we love.

Downlink seems like a perfect match for Warp since a lot of his tracks are very sci-fi and interstellar-like. Looking forward to seeing him in action as well as Bear Grillz who has killer drops in his sets. Another dubstep/DnB artist we want to see at Warp is Must D!e. If you like that type of music too, then you should really consider going to Warp this year.

Blinders is being dubbed as the future of EDM scene after he was premiered by Martin Garrix on Tomorrowland. Plastik Funk is a bit more mellow with his house-style EDM. The rest of the lineup, well we will just have to see. Any you think that we should not miss, let us know in the comments.

4. It’s on the beach

If all else fails and nothing about Warp interests you, then go for the beach. It’s an excuse to get away from bustling Bangkok city. Just imagine the ocean breeze in your hair as the sun sets over the beach will create a euphoric setting that you simply can’t miss. Once you’re there and have sunk your toes in the sand, the music might just surprise you and you’ll end up having an unforgettable weekend.

Trust us, the combined sensations of sand in your feet, the raving music and oh let’s not forget the buzz from the alcohol will make for an awesome experience.
